THE TOURETTE SYNDROME PROGRAM AT RUTGERS

As part of NJCTS, a unique program now serves New Jersey families with direct treatment services and trains a much needed resource at the same time.

Partnering with The Center for Applied Psychology of the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, TSANJ worked to create a unique university-based clinic to provide psychological treatments, education and school-based intervention planning for individuals with Tourette Syndrome and its associated conditions

Clinicians and clinical psychology doctoral students work under the supervision a doctoral level licensed psychologist.

To offer much-needed support for families dealing with the effects of TS, the program also serves as unique resource for training new professionals who can specialize in the treatment of TS and its associated disorders.

In 2007, the program was cited and received additional grant monies as a recipient of the coveted Rutgers University President Award
