HISTORY OF TSANJ

The Tourette Syndrome Association of New Jersey, Inc. was incorporated in 1988 to serve the needs of those in New Jersey with TS. TSANJ was re-organized in 1994 to better fulfill its mission, grow its membership and expand its services.

In 2000, TSANJ leadership began a collaboration with Rutgers University to establish a Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders Center.

Coordinated services for families, support for professionals and and research opportunities are now provided through The New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders, Inc. (NJCTS).

TSANJ remains a participant in this model collaboration and we now provide support for thousands of individuals and families, educate the public and professionals about TS and its associated disorders and advocate on behalf of those who have to deal with this puzzling and often devastating disorder.
